Global Tea Digest (GTD) website is owned by leading Tea Auctioning and Broking Services company - Global Tea Auctioneers Pvt. Ltd. (GTA) based in South India. ‘Global Tea Auctioneers’ team members under the guidance and mentorship of Mr. RAJESH GUPTA (Managing Director) from our three offices at Coonoor, Coimbatore and Cochin, have been working hard with great dedication throughout the year to source and compile tea related data systematically. They have been instrumental in bring out this world class publication annually, which is a result of professional and scientific approach towards collection, compilation, organization and analysis of tea data.

 

The ‘Statistical’ portion of GTD covers wide variety of tables mainly related to Tea Plantation Area, Production of Tea, Exports, Imports, Auction Sold Quantities, Auction Sold Prices, Tea Consumption data, Instant Tea related tables, etc.

 

The ‘Tea Encyclopaedia’ section has various important information and facts about Tea like Tea Timeline, HS Code for Tea, Tea Grades, Tea Tasting Terminology and General Tea Glossary. We have updated various new information in the Tea Timeline and Tea Glossary sections in the current edition. This year’s publication has detailed Classification of ‘Chinese Tea’ as a new addition. We have done extensive research on studying about various variety of Chinese teas, Names, Grades, Origin, etc. and have incorporated it in our Tea Digest after thoughtful analysis and feed back into this subject.
